Refund and Cancellation Policy
1. Introduction
This Refund and Cancellation Policy governs cancellation requests, refund eligibility, payment reversals, failed transactions, duplicate payments, reservation changes, and related matters for RIMAU 1925 The Founder's Edition.
This Policy should be read together with the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Pre-Order and Reservation Policy, Authentication and Ownership Transfer Policy, and any other applicable policies issued by the RIMAU 1925 team.
By submitting a reservation, making payment, requesting allocation of an edition, or participating in any related pre-order process, you agree to this Policy.
2. Nature of the Pre-Order
RIMAU 1925 The Founder's Edition is a pre-order publication currently in development.
By placing a reservation or making payment, you acknowledge that the final publication, packaging, materials, memorabilia, delivery timeline, authentication features, recognition details, and selected privileges may still be subject to development, approvals, production schedules, availability, and final confirmation.
3. General Refund Position
Refunds may be considered only in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.
Once a reservation has been confirmed, payment received, serial number allocated, recognition details processed, or special arrangements initiated, cancellation and refund eligibility may be limited.
The RIMAU 1925 team reserves the right to review each refund or cancellation request based on the edition category, payment status, allocation status, production stage, administrative work completed, and any special arrangements made.
4. Cancellation Before Confirmation
If a reservation has been submitted but has not yet been confirmed, accepted, allocated, or paid, you may request cancellation by contacting the RIMAU 1925 team.
Where no payment has been received, no refund will be due.
Where payment has been received but the reservation has not yet been confirmed or allocated, a refund may be considered, subject to deduction of any payment gateway fees, bank charges, currency conversion charges, administrative fees, or other non-recoverable third-party costs.
5. Cancellation After Confirmation
Once a reservation has been confirmed, cancellation may not be automatically available.
A confirmed reservation may include administrative processing, serial number allocation, recognition review, certificate preparation, ownership registry setup, authentication record creation, fulfilment planning, and project-related commitments.
Cancellation after confirmation will be reviewed at the discretion of the RIMAU 1925 team and may be subject to administrative charges, non-refundable costs, or denial where the edition is customised, allocated, reserved, privately placed, auctioned, or otherwise specially processed.
6. Founding Patron Edition
The Founding Patron Edition is available at RM19,250 per edition and carries selected recognition, authentication, and privileges.
Refund requests for a confirmed Founding Patron Edition may be limited once:
- Payment has been received
- A serial number has been allocated
- Recognition details have been submitted or processed
- Certificate and authentication records have been prepared
- Credit roll or supporter recognition submission has begun
- Administrative verification has been completed
- Special arrangements have been made
- Project-related commitments have been incurred
Where a refund is approved, the refund amount may be reduced by payment gateway fees, bank charges, currency conversion costs, administrative charges, non-recoverable third-party costs, and any other reasonable costs already incurred.
7. First 300 Signature Reserve
The First 300 Signature Reserve may be allocated through private placement, auction, special release, institutional presentation, or selected collector allocation.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, confirmed Signature Reserve allocations may be non-refundable due to their limited nature, special allocation process, private placement status, potential auction value, serial number significance, administrative handling, and possible autograph-related arrangements.
Any refund or cancellation request involving the Signature Reserve will be reviewed individually by the RIMAU 1925 team.
8. Dedication Copies
Serial number 1925 is reserved for Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Serial number 1926 is reserved for Tun Dr Hasmah Mohamad Ali.
These copies are not available for public reservation, contribution, purchase, refund, cancellation, auction, or transfer.
9. Numbered Collector's Edition
The Numbered Collector's Edition refers to serial numbers 1927 to 9999.
Refund and cancellation terms for the Numbered Collector's Edition may be more flexible before fulfilment, subject to payment status, production stage, shipping status, administrative costs, and applicable law.
Once an order has entered fulfilment, printing, packing, dispatch, or delivery processing, cancellation may no longer be possible.
10. Duplicate Payments
If a duplicate payment is made in error, you should contact the RIMAU 1925 team as soon as possible with proof of payment.
Verified duplicate payments may be refunded, subject to deduction of payment gateway fees, bank charges, currency conversion costs, or other non-recoverable third-party costs.
11. Failed, Reversed, or Disputed Payments
If a payment fails, is reversed, disputed, charged back, flagged for fraud review, or otherwise not successfully received, the relevant reservation may be suspended, cancelled, or withheld until the matter is resolved.
The RIMAU 1925 team reserves the right to cancel any reservation where payment is not completed, not cleared, or subject to unresolved dispute.
12. Payment Gateway and Bank Charges
Payment gateway fees, credit card charges, bank charges, foreign exchange costs, international transfer fees, currency conversion differences, and other third-party transaction costs may be non-refundable.
Refunds, where approved, may be processed net of such costs.
13. Change of Edition Category
Requests to change edition category may be considered subject to availability, payment adjustment, allocation status, recognition deadlines, and approval.
If a change results in a lower-priced category, any refund of the difference will be subject to approval and may be reduced by administrative and third-party costs.
If a change results in a higher-priced category, the requester must pay the difference before the change is confirmed.
14. Serial Number Requests
Requests for preferred serial numbers are not guaranteed.
Failure to obtain a preferred serial number does not automatically entitle the requester to cancel or receive a refund unless the allocation of that specific serial number was expressly confirmed in writing as a condition of the reservation.
15. Recognition and Privilege Changes
Recognition, film credit submission, event invitations, premiere access, private screening access, authentication features, registered provenance functions, and selected privileges are subject to production timelines, platform availability, event capacity, final approval, and administrative deadlines.
Changes, delays, restrictions, or non-availability of selected privileges will not automatically entitle the purchaser or patron to a refund unless required by applicable law or expressly agreed in writing.
16. Autographed Copies
Autographed copies are not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed in writing.
If an autographed copy was not expressly guaranteed in writing, the non-availability of an autograph will not entitle the purchaser or patron to a refund.
Where an autograph was expressly confirmed in writing and later becomes unavailable, the RIMAU 1925 team may offer an alternative arrangement, revised allocation, partial remedy, or refund option depending on the circumstances.
17. Delivery Delays
The delivery timeline for The Founder's Edition may be subject to development, approvals, production, printing, packaging, authentication setup, shipping, customs, and fulfilment schedules.
Reasonable delays will not automatically entitle the purchaser or patron to cancel or receive a refund.
If there is a substantial delay beyond a reasonable period, the RIMAU 1925 team may provide updated options, which may include continued reservation, revised fulfilment timeline, alternative delivery arrangement, or refund consideration where applicable.
18. Damaged or Defective Items
If a delivered item is damaged or defective upon receipt, the recipient must notify the RIMAU 1925 team within five (5) days of delivery with clear photographs, packaging evidence, order details, delivery information, and any other requested proof.
If the claim is verified, the RIMAU 1925 team may offer repair, replacement, partial remedy, or another appropriate solution, subject to availability and applicable law.
Damage caused by mishandling, improper storage, unauthorised resale, third-party courier handling after successful delivery, environmental exposure, or owner negligence may not qualify for replacement or refund.
19. Incorrect or Incomplete Delivery Information
Purchasers and patrons are responsible for providing accurate delivery details.
The RIMAU 1925 team is not responsible for failed delivery, delay, loss, return shipment, additional charges, or misdelivery caused by incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or unverifiable delivery information provided by the purchaser, patron, recipient, or authorised representative.
Additional shipping, redelivery, correction, storage, customs, or handling costs may be charged to the purchaser or recipient.
20. International Orders
International orders may be subject to shipping costs, customs duties, import taxes, insurance, documentation requirements, and local clearance procedures.
Refunds will not include customs duties, taxes, import charges, shipping costs, or third-party fees unless required by applicable law or expressly stated in writing.
21. Refund Method
Approved refunds will normally be processed through the original payment method where possible.
If the original payment method is unavailable, expired, restricted, closed, or unsuitable, the RIMAU 1925 team may request alternative bank or payment details, subject to verification.
Refund processing timelines may vary depending on payment provider, bank, currency, jurisdiction, and administrative review.
22. Administrative Review
All refund and cancellation requests must be submitted through the official communication channel.
The RIMAU 1925 team may request supporting documents, proof of payment, identification, reservation details, transaction references, photographs, delivery records, or other information to assess the request.
Failure to provide required information may delay or prevent processing.
23. Fraud, Misuse, and Abuse
The RIMAU 1925 team reserves the right to reject refund, cancellation, replacement, or transfer requests where there is suspected fraud, abuse, counterfeit activity, false information, unauthorised resale, chargeback misuse, identity misrepresentation, or breach of applicable policies.
24. Legal Rights
Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude or limit any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Where applicable consumer protection law provides mandatory rights or remedies, those rights will apply.
25. Policy Updates
This Policy may be updated from time to time.
The latest version will be published on the official website with the updated date.
Continued use of the website, reservation system, payment process, verification platform, or related services after updates are published constitutes acknowledgement of the updated Policy.
